Jose Mourinho loves the English Premier
League than any other league in the world. For him, it is the most exciting
league in the world and the only league that welcomes a clown. The EPL is one of
the league that is watched passionately across the globe and the only league
that allows a coach to publicly insult his fellow coach.
Mourinho
is a Portuguese. He worked in his country Portugal where he won many titles and
was very successful at Porto. He soon left Porto
for Chelsea after receiving death threats. In England, he won titles with
Chelsea and dominated the press conference where he publicly declared himself
as the ‘Special One’. He ruled England like a King but soon became bored and moved
to Inter Milan.
In Italy, Mourinho
won titles but soon discovered a bitter truth, Italians love themselves and no
foreigner can dominate the Italian media or publicly insult a respected Italian
just because you won a treble. Mourinho packed his bags and returned to Spain
where he has worked before as an assistant to Sir Bobby Robson at Barcelona.
In Spain,
Mourinho met his match in Pep Guadiola.
His winning formula failed to perform its usual magic; the Spanish press and
people were prepared for his antics in his first year at Real Madrid. He
somehow managed to distract the attention of Guadiola in his second year, won the Spanish title and became a
public enemy in Spain even among his own players. Rather than take a long and
well deserved vacation from a heart-breaking sport like Pep Guadiola did,
Mourinho left Spain and returned to Chelsea
after narrowly losing two titles in Spain.
In England,
Mourinho met a rebranded league and a weak team. Alex Ferguson has resigned and
Mancini was sacked. But in Arsene Wenger,
he met an old man who still has the same passion for the beautiful game and a
new desire to win a title for his patient employers and the fans that trust him.
Mourinho also discovered that the current Chelsea team lacks the passion,
strength and mentality to win titles for him.
With
Abrahamovic no longer a threat, Mourinho is now calling the shots. Manchester United
is struggling and Moyes is not a
threat, Manchester city is strong but Pellegrini is not a threat. That leaves Wenger and his
unpredictable team. Wenger has always believed in the growth and development of
football and has sold valuable players to rival teams but Mourinho do not.
Mourinho
believes the game of football is war. He only works with clubs with rich clubs
that can buy him any player he wants. He is always at war with his employees,
do not sell his players to any club he considers his rival and play mind games
to distract the attention of rival managers and their team. Mourinho “tapped” Ashley Cole from Wenger but refused to loan Demba Ba to Arsenal and is
publicly humiliating Wenger to distract his focus from titles that has eluded
him for eight years.

Mourinho
antics may well be a blessing in disguise. Wenger certainly knows how to
respond to criticism and welcomes it. Besides, he actually needs it to step up
is game. He may be the coach of the decade, developed unknown players in to
stars, given Arsenal fame and fortune, but his ability to win titles is
questionable.
Wenger is
not to be blamed. All the players he developed into champions were tapped from
him and he is probably the only top manager that believes in Financial Fair
Play and the development of the beautiful game. It takes team work, good form,
desire, passion and luck to win titles and Arsenal seems destined to win at
least one title this season.
The fact is,
Mourinho needs at least a year break from football and a well deserved one. For
me, Mourinho seems to be playing the game with the media than on the field and
he seems to have lost the passion for the game. He has not promised the club
any title this season and the Abrahamovic
seems less concerned considering the fact that he is still paying former sacked
coaches of the club.
The EPL is passionately followed by children
across the globe and Mourinho should stop misleading youths who may think it is
right to insult adults. Wenger has responded with a win against Liverpool and Chelsea has lost against Manchester city in the FA Cup and it is obvious that mourinho is
confused and I was surprised that he greeted almost the entire Manchester city
bench after the painful loss.
Mourinho is a clown and he knows it. Wenger needs
more criticism and antics to win and Jose Mourinho is back in England to help Monsieur Wenger to win at least one of the three titles that he is currently
chasing and it is the FA Cup.
