BBM Q & A with D’Banj!!

By Mr. Brown
Nigerian international super star and multiple awards winner, Dapo Oyebanjo popularly known as D’Banj is not doubt one of Nigeria’s most resourceful entertainers. His break up with his partner, Don Jazzy generated a lot of reactions both within and outside the music industry.
Today, D’Banj seems to be very happy with the pact he chooses as he declares he has no regret. His earnings have increased and he’s gained more international recognition. His road manager revealed that D’Banj now charges N8 million and $100,000 outside Nigeria.
In his characteristic funny and lively attitude, he replied BBM chat with MR BROWN and speaks about his past and future plans.
Q: Have you signed Olamide to DB Records?
 A:  No.
Q: How much do you worth now?
A.     Hmmm… God has blessed me o. Ah, make I no lie (I won’t lie), Oluwa (God) is involved. I can’t start counting my blessings but I thank God.
Q: The latest project from your stable now is the DKM album; can you give me an insight into it?
A: The ‘DKM’ Album, D Kings Men is a compilation of songs from the artistes on DB Records and is not a D’ Banj’s Album. It has a compilation of songs and sounds done by DB records artistes comprising myself, Kay Switch and J.Sol. DKM album has already dropped on pre-sales online. This is the first time I will be doing pre-sales of any album and I was surprised that in less than three days, the response was massive. I was in Atlanta and I flew back home immediately. I am actually excited about it and not just for me alone. I’m excited that if by God’s grace this works out, finally, it will curb piracy and provide another means of distribution other than Alaba Market.

FEATURE: FALOMO ON-RAMP BRIDGE

CONNECTING THE CITY

  • Falomo Bridge
Unlike the Pyrenees, which separates the Iberian Peninsula from the rest of Europe, the Falomo On-Ramp Bridge connects two areas of Lagos metropolis—Ikoyi and Victoria Island. The Bridge was jointly financed by the state and private sector in consonance with the Lagos State government’s Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) model on infrastructural development.
The facility which stretches some 115m in length, features a post tensioned (or pre-stressed) ramp sited on five piers, each resting on four piles was constructed by Lekki Concession Company (LCC) and provides a dual purpose of highways and walkways for road users.
Before the bridge was constructed, Ikoyi bound motorists from Lekki had to undergo the torture of the traffic congestion before making a left turn at the busy intersection leading to Adeyemo Alakija street and then make a right turn to connect the Falomo bridge.
